Water Damage Repair & Reconstruction

We rebuild after the dry-out: drywall, flooring, cabinets, and finishes restored to pre-loss condition, working with your insurance adjuster.

Once the mitigation company has torn out the wet materials and dried your home, the job is only half done. Patel Precision Construction handles that second half: rebuilding your home back to pre-loss condition. We work with your insurance adjuster, write the estimate in Xactimate, and manage the whole rebuild with one licensed, accountable team across Orange County.

Water Damage Reconstruction FAQ

Do you do the water extraction and drying?

No, that is mitigation, and we leave it to the mitigation company. We specialize in the rebuild that comes next. If you still need mitigation, we can point you to companies we work with and coordinate the handoff.

Will my insurance cover the reconstruction?

If the water loss is covered under your policy, the rebuild is typically part of the claim. We write the estimate in Xactimate and work with your adjuster on the scope. Your policy and deductible determine what is covered, and we will help you understand it.

How does payment work with insurance?

Your insurance company pays you directly for the rebuild (if you have a mortgage, your lender is usually listed on the check too). You then pay us in stages as the work is completed, so payments line up with progress you can see.

Can I upgrade finishes while the rebuild is happening?

Yes. Insurance covers restoring like-for-like; if you want upgraded cabinets, flooring, or a layout change, we price the difference separately in writing. As a full remodeling contractor, we can do both in one project.

How long does water damage reconstruction take?

A single room is often a few weeks; larger losses with kitchens or multiple rooms take longer. Insurance approval and material lead times are the biggest variables. We give you a realistic schedule with the estimate.
